Movistar Team will be chasing their third win in the Clásica with Rojas -runner-up in 2011, Ventoso and Sanz after a success-packed week in the Vuelta a Andalucía

Following the big success from Movistar Team’s first overall win during the Ruta del Sol, the squad directed by José Luis Arrieta will try to keep their victorious streak on Sunday during the 27th Clásica de Almería (UCI 1.HC), over a 186-kilometer route from Roquetas de Mar to the province’s capital where the three main difficulties along the course -Portichuelo (Cat. 3), Lucainena (Cat. 2) and La Serrata (Cat. 3), the latter one 40k from the finish- should not avoid a bunch kick at the finish.

For the predictable mass sprint, the telephone will count on all their three fast men: Cantabrian Fran Ventoso, Navarran Enrique Sanz and José Joaquín Rojas, who finished in 2nd place in 2011 just few milimiters behind winner Matteo Pelucchi. The Blue roster in Almería will be completed by Italian champion Giovanni Visconti, Belarusian Vasil Kiryienka and Spaniards Javi Moreno, Pablo Lastras and Javier Iriarte, who will debut in 2012 after muscular problems frustrated his season start.
