Eneco Tour / Tour de l'Ain

Movistar Team brings two competitive rosters next week for its last two stageraces before the Vuelta a España: the Eneco Tour and the Tour de l'Ain

After the Vuelta a Burgos gets to an end this Sunday, Movistar Team will head into two important races on its way to the Vuelta a España, starting in exact two weeks. A first expedition directed by José Luis Jaimerena will start on Monday with the 8th Eneco Tour (August 6-12), a UCI World Tour event including a 19k team time trial on Tuesday, three flat stages, an ITT of 17 kilometers on next Saturday and two ‘mini-classics’ around Limburg (Wednesday) and Flanders (Sunday), the latter one including three passages through the mythical Kapelmuur. Andrey Amador (CRC), Jonathan Castroviejo, Imanol Erviti, Jesús Herrada, Ignatas Konovalovas (LTU), Pablo Lastras, José Joaquín Rojas and Spanish road champion Fran Ventoso make the 8-man selection from the telephone squad.

In turn, a second group led by Yvon Ledanois will take part, from Tuesday 7 and until Saturday 11, in the 24th edition of the Tour de l’Ain (UCI 2.1), a five-day, six-stage course featuring an 11k TTT closing the double sector on day two plus two tough mountain routes to end the race, with summit finishes in Septmoncel and Lélex. The seven-man roster from the Blues on French turf will be composed by Marzio Bruseghin (ITA), José Herrada, Beñat Intxausti, Vladimir Karpets (RUS), Sergio Pardilla, Rubén Plaza and Enrique Sanz.
