Movistar Team brings decent chances to last WorldTour races before Toscana: the GP Québec (Friday) and the GP Montréal (Sunday)

In the final build-up for the World Championships, clashing with the Tour of Britain (15-22) and the end of the Vuelta a España, Movistar Team travels on Tuesday from Paris to the Canadian province of Québec to take part in the WorldTour Grand Prix of Québec (Friday 13th), with the climbs of the Montagne, La Potasse and the finishing kick up the Grande-Allée for a total 201km, and Montréal (Sunday 15th), over another demanding circuit (206km) including the côtes of Camilien-Houde and the Polytechnique.

Spanish road race champion Jesús Herrada and Portuguese Rui Costa -winner of the 2011 GP Montréal, podium finisher in Québec last season- will be the most notable names from José Luis Laguía’s squad, also featuring Jonathan Castroviejo, Rubén Plaza, Juanjo Cobo, Eloy Teruel and Fran Ventoso. The latter will be Movistar Team’s contender at the third edition of the Challenge Sprint Pro (Thursday 12th), an eliminator race for sprinters where Enrique Sanz finished in 2nd place two years ago.
