No troubles on day two

Critérium du Dauphiné (st. 2)

Support by Dowsett, Sutherland keeps Valverde, Movistar Team unscathed on Dauphiné stage two, prelude of a Tour rehearsal in Tuesday's team time trial to Montagny

Other than a crash in the middle of the bunch with 21km remaining, which briefly dropped back -though didn't cause any damage- Jonathan Castroviejo and John Gadret, no other incidents affected the Movistar Team on stage two of the 2015 Critérium du Dauphiné, with Nacer Bouhanni (COF) taking huge teamwork to fruition with a sprint victory in the Parc des Oiseaux of Villars-les-Dombes.

Alejandro Valverde, just as focused as he proved to be the day prior, remains 12" behind Peter Kennaugh (SKY) overall after good support from rouleurs Alex Dowsett and Rory Sutherland, who already were his best support yesterday. Both will also be crucial, as well as the rest of the block, into the 24.5km TTT from Roanne to Montagny which will set the first real time gaps on Tuesday.

TTT start times (CEST): 13.15 FDJ … 13.30 Movistar Team (6th of 21 squads) … 14.15 Team Sky.
