Blues add a final element to their ranks

Promising 22-year-old from Portugal becomes 28th and final rider for Eusebio Unzué's team, will bring strength for all terrains

The Movistar Team announces that Portugal's Nuno Bico (Viseu, 1994) will become a part of its official roster as soon as Sunday, 1 January, 2017. A great climber and rouleur, talented for both stageraces and the most demanding classics, the former national U23 road race champion – he achieved his title in Braga, in 2015 – lands into the WorldTour scene after three seasons within the ranks of local Conti team Rádio Popular and an additional one inside the Klein Constantia development squad.

Bico's confirmation is the last signing for the 2017 Movistar Team, which will be formed by the following 28 riders: Andrey Amador (CRC), Winner Anacona, Carlos Betancur, Dayer / Nairo Quintana (COL); Jorge Arcas, Carlos Barbero, Héctor Carretero, Jonathan Castroviejo, Víctor de la Parte, Imanol Erviti, Rubén Fernández, Jesús / José Herrada, Gorka Izagirre, Dani Moreno, Antonio Pedrero, José Joaquín Rojas, Marc Soler, Alejandro Valverde (ESP); Daniele Bennati, Adriano Malori (ITA); Richard Carapaz (ECU); Alex Dowsett (GBR); Nuno Bico, Nelson Oliveira (POR); Rory Sutherland (AUS); and Jasha Sütterlin (GER).
