Carapaz, Anacona, Amador return as Movistar Team keep high morale heading into their final WorldTour event before Giro d'Italia

The Movistar Team will pay its first visit to Switzerland in the 2017 season next week for the Tour de Romandie, from Tuesday 25 to Sunday 30. The 71st edition of the French-speaking region's event includes two mountain-top finishes: a more gentle one in Champéry (Wednesday 26) and a demanding arrival in Leysin (Saturday 29), preceeded by three other rated ascents. Also decisive will be two time trials: a 4.8km prologue in Aigle and a 18km ITT showdown in Lausanne.

José Luis Jaimerena will direct a top-quality, eight-man squad as three Latin American stars return to racing following long training stretches: Richard Carapaz, Andrey Amador y Winner Anacona. They will be joined by Alex Dowsett, Jonathan Castroviejo, Rubén Fernández and two members from the Ardennes classics team set to complete their task at LBL on Sunday: Carlos Betancur and Jesús Herrada.
