Movistar Team to wrap up seventh year under Telefónica’s sponsorship at Tour of Guangxi, closing round of the UCI WorldTour.

Heading into a long flight from Spain to the south of China, the last active members of the Movistar Team in this 2017 season will close the Blues’ season in Asia next week. The Spanish outfit, which will have Jonathan Castroviejo lining up on Sunday’s Chrono des Nations -49.7km around Les Herbiers, in the French department of Vendée-, is set to ride the final race of the UCI WorldTour, the Tour of Guangxi, from Thursday 19th to Tuesday 24th.

Pablo Lastras will lead a seven-man roster including Andrey Amador, Jesús Herrada, Nuno Bico, Héctor Carretero, Alex Dowsett, José Herrada and Dayer Quintana. The Movistar Team will be tackling a six-stage route which features plenty of sprint stages, combined with two final days with climbs near the finish and a decisive hill-top finish at the Mashan Nongla (3.3km, 6% avg.) on Sunday 22nd.
