Newly crowned World Champion wears new colours for the first time at Madrid's Paseo de la Castellana, in a sponsor event also featuring Mavi García, Lourdes Oyarbide and Eusebio Unzué.

Another big celebration on Sunday saw the Movistar Team being paid tribute by its main sponsor at Movistar’s Bike Festival, held in Madrid’s famous Paseo de la Castellana. Alejandro Valverde -who wore his Endura rainbow jersey for the first time-, Mavi García, Lourdes Oyarbide and Eusebio Unzué rolled together with fans and bike users in a beautiful morning’s ride, prior to Alejandro’s maiden competition in his new colours, the Tre Valli Varesine on Tuesday.
