GP Québec
201.6 Kilometers
The ninth edition of the Grand Prix de Québec (Friday 7th September), first of two UCI WorldTour races to be held on Canadian soil -together with the GP Montréal–, will be a chance for the punchy climbers and top classics contenders to play its cards in the traditional, gentle uphill finish at the Grande-Allée.
The route is identical to previous editions of the event, with 16 laps over a 12.6km course -for a total 201.6 kilometers- which goes through flatter roads at the beginning of each loop, through the Parc des Champs-de-Bataille and alongside the Saint-Laurent river, before taking on the four main, little ascents.
La Montagne (375m at 10%), La Potasse (420m at 9%), La Fabrique (190m at 7%) and the last kilometer at 4% through the avenues of Saint-Louis and Grande-Allée are the chances to break the peloton into a very twisty, intriguing finale.
