Analysis

2018 will be only the second year of existence of the final ‘Monument’ in the UCI Women’s WorldTour calendar. Liège-Bastogne-Liège remains a long race also in its women’s version, with its 136km being just under twenty kilometers under the longest events of the season, as well as a very demanding one, especially into a second half with uses the same course as in the men’s race.

La Vecquée (82km), a climb often used in the ‘Doyenne’, will be the starting point for an intense, decisive 60km, its seven kilometers at around 5% hard enough to make a big selection and create some attacks. After that, the peloton will approach Liège over the same course the boys will tackle. La Redoute (-36km; 2,000m at 8.9%) and Roche-aux-Faucons (-20km; 1,300m at 11%) will be the toughest points of a parcours whose final result will be define over the top of Saint-Nicolas (-6km; 1,200m at 8.6%) and the uphill finish in Ans.
