After a first season in blue, 2012, where he could only enjoy success in two races out of the WorldTour -the two classics in Biscay: Getxo and Amorebieta- and following bad psychological moments, the talent of Giovanni Visconti came to the spotlight at last.

He made it visible in the Galibier, in one of the hardest stages of the ‘Corsa Rosa’ in recent years, recovering from initial weakness to beat the rest of the breakaway and claim glory atop the ‘Cima Pantani’. Three days later, time for a spectacular confirmation in Vicenza, through an ocean of crazy fans.
