Barbero in the mix in Almería

First top-ten finish as Movistar Team member

4th spot in Andalusia for Blue youngster behind Magnus Cort (ORS), rounds off beautiful weekend for Movistar Team in southern Spain

The unavoidable sprint finish in Sunday's 30th Clásica de Almería allowed Carlos Barbero (Movistar Team) finally contesting a sprint within the best after unfruitful attempts at both Australia and Dubai. The 25-year-old from Burgos claimed the 4th place at a bunch kick easily domianted by Orica-Scott's Magnus Cort, in front of Rüdiger Selig (BOH) and Jens Debusschere (LTS).

Barbero's good result in Andalusia completes a good weekend for the Laguía-directed squad, following Alejandro Valverde's fantastic victory in Murcia on Saturday. Carlos will seek for another two chances to notch up a win in the Volta ao Algarve, starting in Portugal next Wednesday.
