The Telefónica-backed squad confirms the renewal and contract extensions of some of its most prominent riders, both in the men’s and women’s teams, ensuring the continuity of key figures for the team’s immediate future.

MEN’S TEAM

Orluis Aular and Jefferson Cepeda, whose contracts were already valid until 2026, have signed extensions that will keep them with the Telefónica structure through 2028.

Jorge Arcas and Nelson Oliveira, road captains within the squad, extend their contracts for two more seasons, until 2027, reaching 12 years wearing the blue jersey.

Meanwhile, Albert Torres and Nairo Quintana will continue bringing experience to the team after renewing for one additional season, until 2026.

WOMEN’S TEAM

Brazilian rider Tota Magalhães, whose contract was set to end next season, has extended it for three more years, securing her place with the team through 2029.

Current Spanish champion Sara Martín strengthens her commitment to the team by extending her contract until 2028.

French rider Aude Biannic, one of the most experienced members of the peloton and a key figure within the squad, renews for two more seasons, through 2027.

With these renewals, Movistar Team ensures the continuity of a solid core of riders—combining youth, experience, and leadership—consolidating its sporting project for the medium and long term.
