Analysis

It’s ’round two’ of the 2021 professional season in Wallonia. A lumpy, urban circuit in Mouscron, just outside the French border and near Roubaix, will see the Movistar Team cover its penultimate stop in this Belgian ‘tournée’, coming to its end with Wednesday’s Scheldeprijs.

The Ronde de Mouscron features ten laps of a 12.5-kilometer circuit with gentle climbs and descent, as well as several direction changes which make this race quite technical. The hardest part is near the end, with the slopes of the Avenue Reine Astrid (3%) and especially the finish at the Grand Place, with 4-5% gradients just before the finish.
