Tre Valli Varesine
196.7 Kilometers
After a year’s provisional transformation into the Grande Trittico Lombardo, bringing both this race, the Coppa Agostoni and the Coppa Bernocchi together, the Tre Valli Varesine gets back to its original moniker for the 100th edition of the event, with two different circuits testing the legs of many of Il Lombardia’s contenders over a course quite similar to the one used at the 2008 Worlds.
The first circuit will feature the climbs of Casbeno (2.5km at 5%) and Montello (2 km at 5.2%), tackled nine times each, before the last forty kilometers (two laps) see the peloton combining those two climbs with an additional two: Morosolo (1.6km at 8%) and Casciago (1.8km at 5%). The finish is placed just after the Casbeno ascent.
