Analysis

The duo of Tuscany races opened with the Memorial Alfredo Martini comes to its end on Thursday 16th September with the Coppa Sabatini, a longer (211km), hillier course than the one joining it on the calendar, where the punchy climbers will stand the biggest chance.

The Italian event, starting and finishing in Peccioli, is divided into three sections:

1) A 50km, point-to-point opener, with the ascents of Montefoscoli (1.1km at 8%) and Terricciola (1.4km at 5% + 500m at 4%);

2) The first circuit (25km / five laps), featuring the two climbs cited before and adding the Piazza del Popolo uphill (700m at 11%);

3) And the final loop around the finish (12km / three laps), with the Via Mazzini (1.4km at 5%) as only ascent in each lap.
