Analysis

The Movistar Team’s intense October schedule -this race is held on September 30th- includes a visit to the Ardennes classics, with the 84th Flèche Wallonne as opening course. A race which, for this 2020 edition, slightly modifies its parcours, keeping the final loop (three laps) around the Mur de Huy (1.3km at 9.3%) while replacing one of the three decisive ascents.

The Chemin des Gueuses (1.8km at 6.5% average) comes into the programme for the Côte de Cherave, used in previous years between Huy and the other climb in the main circuit, the Côte d’Ereffe (2.2km at 6%). A route otherwise quite flat in the opening part of its 202km, with the last circuit starting 85 kilometers from the end.
