Analysis

The women’s Movistar Team had never raced in November, with such a circumstance being allowed by the turbulent 2020 calendar, which will see the Blues discover a new stagerace in France and ride, for the second time this year, on the roads usually covered by Aude Biannic -who already finished in 3rd place overall in her home stagerace back in 2012-.

The Bretagne Ladies Tour offers lumpy, windy courses, where pace and direction changes will, together with the 19km ITT stage three in Locronan on Friday 30th, define the outcome of this wide-open race.

Other than those factors, the riders will also have to tackle several hills. The stage two route on Thursday 29th will include the Mûr-de-Bretagne, already used a couple of times by the Tour de France, before an up-and-down circuit in Pontivy. All other road stages will include circuits with uphill finishes, with stage four (Saturday 31st) covering four rated climbs en route to Inzinzac.
