José Luis Jaimerena

A man made at this team. Already a member of the Reynolds amateur squad in the early 1980s, he took the leap towards pro racing in 1983 - where he only could show his abilities for one year before a serious injury forced him leaving cycling as one with a backnumber on. Jaimerena instead chose to stay in the sport with a different role and became a sports director for the amateur Reynolds squad, a role he developed for twelve years before joining the pro roster in 1995. Together with Eusebio Unzué, the two have spent the last 27 years together as part of the management team of one of the best teams in the world.
