Social Media

The hashtag #FWwomen has been used by ASO to promote the race. It's also really interesting to follow the UCI's official handle for WorldTour events: @UCI_WWT. There will be as much info as we have available for you at @Movistar_Team, too.

Route

Huy - Muro de Huy (118.5km)
18 April

Analysis

The Flèche Wallonne is one of the most prestigious one-day events in the WorldTour calendar, as well as one of the toughest races in the circuit because of the extreme slopes riders face at the famous Mur de Huy.

Two climbs of the Chemin des Chapelles (1,300m at 9,6% avg.) are included into a 118km with roads quite more generous in the first half of the race -the opening 70km are quite rolling-, a scene which drastically changes as the ladies enter Ereffe and start the final circuit, around fifty kilometers in length.

As in the men’s race, there will be a double loop around Ereffe itself (2.1km at 5% average gradient) and, above that, Cherave (1.3km, 8.1%), whose strategic position can help break the subsequent finish at Huy or event open up the gaps of any potential race-winning attacks happened earlier.
