About us

Movistar Team is the longest-standing and most successful cycling team in the history of the UCI WorldTour, the highest category of international cycling, which brings together the world’s 18 best men’s teams.

In 2026, the men’s team reaches its 47th consecutive season in the elite, with a roster of 27 riders. They are joined by the 17 cyclists who make up the women’s team, active since 2018 and entering its ninth season—its seventh as a member of the top-tier UCI Women’s WorldTour. Joining this season as well is the Movistar Team Academy, a development squad with 12 riders.

A large technical staff completes an organization that exceeds one hundred employees in total.

Among the most prominent names on the 2026 roster are Cian Uijtdebroeks, Enric Mas, Marlen Reusser, Liane Lippert, Iván Romeo, Pablo Castrillo, Sara Martín, Orluis Aular, Cat Ferguson, Javier Romo, Raúl García Pierna, and Einer Rubio.

Over more than four decades of history, the team has had only five main sponsors: Reynolds (aluminum, 1980–89), Banesto (banking, 1990–2003), Illes Balears (tourism, 2004–05), Caisse d’Épargne (savings bank, 2006–10), and Telefónica (telecommunications, 2011–present). The squad is managed by Abarca Sports, S.L., headquartered in Egüés, Navarra (Spain).

In addition to more than 1,000 victories as a Europe-based professional men’s team—along with more than one hundred wins as a women’s squad—the team has finished first in the world team rankings on six occasions: 1992, 2008, and, as Movistar Team, for four consecutive years between 2013 and 2016.
