Vuelta a Murcia
84.6 Kilometers
The undeniable boost that Spanish women’s cycling is living lately means more and more races can be held. That’s the case with the first ever Vuelta a Murcia Féminas, which is actually sponsored by our own Alejandro Valverde’s youth team.
Murcia’s Costera Sur motorway will be the start and finish point of a 85km course, which will mainly consist of eight local laps just outside the city, before tackling the main difficulty on a bigger, 19km loop: the Alto de La Fuensanta (Cat-3), almost 3km with tough slopes around 9%, following by easier stretches near the top, around 3%. As the ladies reach the top, only 8km will be left to race.
