Analysis

At Noja, a coastal village in Cantabria, northern Spain, the women’s Movistar Team claimed the first victory in its history. No less than four wins in the last month have already been achieved, in turn, in 2019 by the Blues before this year’s race, now the third round of the Spanish Racing Series after respective wins for Lorena Llamas at Eibar and Almería.

The 92km route of the Noja race, also known as GP Cantabria Deporte, are very well known by all riders. There will be four laps of a circuit around two climbs: San Mamés (700m at 6%) and Barrio de la Maza -nearly 2km at 3%, with some slopes at 7-8%-. It’s a hilly route, not particularly hard yet able to produce results other than a group sprint at the Cantabria avenue in the city center.
