Trofeo Alfredo Binda
141.8 Kilometers
The race will be broadcast live on Eurosport 2 and GCN, starting at 2.30pm.
After a year’s absence due to the pandemic, the Movistar Team will be resuming its WorldTour schedule with the Trofeo Binda, the oldest classic in the women’s calendar. This Italian event held in Lombardy also presents in 2021 a longer route, one of the most difficult in the calendar, with its 141km full of climbs and with up to three circuits between Cocquio-Trevisago and Cittiglio.
The most important one will be the third loop around the finish, to be started with 70km from the end (four laps). Two main climbs will be tackled: Casale, 800m at 9% approx., and Orino, divided into two sections and including, in its second half, a 1.5km section at 6.3% gradient. The previous circuits will also include another side of Orino’s ascent, from Cocquio (4km at 3%) and the Cunardo climb (3.8km at 4.8%).
