Tour de Pologne
1209 Kilometers 7 Stages
There will be 10-6-4″ at the finish of all six road stages, plus 3-2-1″ at the intermediate sprints.
The 2022 edition of the Tour of Poland has presented itself as a “race for peace”, and it’s important to note that some of its early stages will take place near the Ukrainian border, to the point that its first decisive finish -stage three (Monday 1st Aug), over the tough hill near Przemysl- ends just a couple of kilometers away.
Before that first crucial slope, the peloton will have covered more than 650 kilometers in just three days, even though the first two finishes in Lublin (Saturday 30th) and Zamosc (Sunday 31st) should end with bunch sprints.
Another slightly uphill finish, following an endless series of short climbs, in Sanok (Tuesday 2nd) and another chance for the sprinters in Rzeszów (Wednesday 3rd) will take the race towards its decisive ITT on Thursday 4th: 15km, with a tough uphill section halfway through, ending in Bukowina Tatrzanska, a usual venue of the race’s Queen stage. The tour ends on Friday 5th with another sprint chance in Kraków.
