5,300 meters of elevation gain and six demanding climbs in the Dolomites: the menu of Wednesday's recon for Valverde and Amador (Movistar Team) over the roads of stage 14 in the 'Corsa Rosa' - Blues to look at mountain TT and stage 16 tomorrow

The two allrounders from the telephone squad covered nearly 150km from stage 14, starting in Alpago and finishing at Corvara Alta Badia, over the 'Passi' of Pordoi, Sella, Gardena, Campolongo, Giau and Valparola, for a total exceeding 5,300m of elevation gain.

Amador, fourth-placed in last season's 'Corsa Rosa', and Valverde, the UCI World's No. 1 in 2015, will also inspect the Alpe di Siusi mountain TT (stage 15) and the ascents of Mendola and Fai della Paganella, part of stage 16 to Bressanone, on Thursday.
