Tre Valli Varesine
197 Kilometers
Having covered most of their Italian early-autumn races in the central part of the country, between the Emilia-Romagna and Abruzzo regions, the Movistar Team now travels northbound to visit a historical race, the 98th Tre Valli Varesine, which will again be hosted at some of the roads the best riders in the peloton tackled during the 2018 World Championships.
Following an initial section from Saronno to Varese, almost eighty kilometers in length, the contenders will cover six laps of a short circuit, 12.9km each, with the ascents of Via Montello (nearly 2km at 5.2%) and Casbeno (2.5km at 4.9%), before facing a longer loop, around twenty kilometers, in the final two laps. The latter will include the consecutive ascents of Morosolo (1.7km at 7.5%) and Casciago (1.8km at 4.9%), just before a short false flat and slight downhill towards the finish in Via Sacco.
