Covid relief fund initiative

Pieces to be signed by riders present at next Saturday's Strade Bianche, made available to the public and proceeds being sent to Spanish Red Cross and Italy's Protezione Civile.

After explaining last Tuesday that the Movistar Team’s Charity Jersey would be worn by their riders from both teams at next Saturday’s (August 1) Strade Bianche, the Telefónica-backed squad announced Monday that 10 of the jerseys will be signed and put up for auction, in support of the Spanish Red Cross and Italy’s Protezione Civile, at the virtual space Mercadillo Solidario, Monday 3rd through Friday 7th August (two per day – one from the men’s team and one from the women’s team).

The Jerseys, with a starting price of €90 each, will be made available to all sports fans who want to support, through their generous donations, an initiative linked to the #CruzRojaResponde campaign of the Spanish Red Cross, launched as a COVID-19 relief fund, and Alé’s interest on helping the efforts made by the Italian Protezione Civile. The proceeds obtained will be given to both institutions.
