Analysis
It’s the first race in October and the first event in the Movistar Team’s last week of European racing in 2023. Leaving aside the tongue twister / joke, the Telefónica-backed squad will seek at the Coppa Bernocchi -no less than 104 years of history- to stay near the front in quite a good scenario for the sprinters.
It’s not a really tough profile, as we mentioned, with the GPM of Caramamma as the key point of a circuit halfway though the race, known as ‘Valle d’Olona’, which the riders will have to tackle seven times. From Gornate Olona, the main town in that circuit, to the finish in Legnano, the peloton has about 30km to control any remaining breaks and seek for the ‘volata’.
