Veenendaal - Veenendaal Classic
136.8 Kilometers
Five months after practically starting their WorldTour classics season with a duo of races in the province of Drenthe, the Movistar Team is back to the Netherlands as it takes on the maiden edition of the Veenendaal – Veenendaal Classic’s women race (UCI 1.1), an Utrecht province-based course already traditional in the men’s calendar which will now offer the Blue ladies another chance to learn against big specialists in urban, flat, tricky courses.
Four different loops –see the profile button next to the stage data above– compose the 136km race, whose two main difficulties are small hills near the Nether Rhin: the Grebbeberg -five ascents, 600m at 5%-, a battleground from WWII; and the Paardenveld (also 600m at 5%), located just outside Rhenen, where the Grebbeberg itself ends, and set to be climbed three times.
