Vuelta Asturias
485 Kilometers 3 Stages
There will be live images from the final section of each stage at the region’s public TV network RTPA.
There will be 10-6-4″ at every finish plus 3-2-1″ at intermediate sprints.
Once again, the Vuelta a Asturias will be the final race of the first half of the Spanish men’s pro cycling calendar, plus a last stepping stone for some of the Movistar Team riders attending the Giro d’Italia, over three stages full of mountains.
No less than six climbs, including La Colladona (Cat-1) and the steep La Cabaña (Cat-3) + Carabanzo (Cat-3) near the end, are on the menu of stage one towards Pola de Lena (Friday 29th). Day two, Saturday 30th, should be the Queen stage, with the long Alto del Acebo (Cat-1) towards the finish in Cangas del Narcea. And on Sunday 1st May, as usual, the peloton will take on the grueling Violeo (Cat-2) before the last finishing line in Oviedo.
