To complete the great performance by Movistar Team today after JJ Rojas's win in Deià, debutant Javier Iriarte came in 4th place at the opening stage of the Tour Méditerranéen, starting today on French soil with a nervous ride of 120 kilometers where the riders directed by Yvon Ledanois avoided the crashes in the thin roads that mark the coastal race.

Iriarte was leading the race right from the start, as a 5-rider attempt got successful to keep the field into control until the very first line, the pack never losing the reference from a group which didn’t have more than three minutes. The rest of the Movistar Team riders made it into the main group.
