Rui Costa joins Movistar Team

Portuguese rider Rui Costa has become Movistar Team's latest signing. The promising Iberian rider has signed with the telephone squad for the remnant of the season and two more years, and will début in his new jersey in the upcoming days.

Costa already made part of Eusebio Unzué’s structure for the last two seasons, in which, despite only being a 24-year-old, he already snatched some remarkable victories, such as a stage win in the Tour de Suisse or the overall classification of the Quatre Jours de Dunkerque. Rui Costa will be strenghtening Movistar Team’s roster as the squad lost Rubén Plaza a month ago and for many more weeks, the Spanish rider still healing from his tibia and fibula fracture in the Vuelta a Murcia. The blue squad has now 25 riders on active list again.
