Movistar Team will be starting in Sunday’s 46th Amstel Gold Race with the Ardennes classics, the second series of three races in cycling’s spring season where the cobblestones from Flanders and Northern France leave place for the small cols in the heart of Europe. Up to 32 little “bergs” will be climbed in the Dutch race, whose tricky route across the hills of the Limburg region, close to the Belgian and German borders, will be covered again by the best specialists in the world.

The Dutch classic, with 260 kilometers from Maastricht to the top of the Cauberg, will be counting for the very first time with Movistar Team’s outfit on the bunch, the Spanish squad lining up with a roster formed by José Joaquín Rojas, Vasil Kiryienka, Andrey Amador, Ignatas Konovalovas, Chente García Acosta, Jesús Herrada, Enrique Sanz and Portuguese Rui Costa, who will be making his début in the squad directed by Yvon Ledanois.
