Movistar Team tried with their two fastmen, Rojas and Ventoso, to succeed in the complicated finale of the fourth stage in the 2011 Tour de Suisse, an uphill finish where José Joaquín Rojas got boxed into the barriers by Tom Boonen with 200 meters left, which forced the Spaniard to start sprinting again with no winning chances and get to a fourth place that seemed a short result compared to the strength shown by the legs of the telephone squad’s sprinter.

Rojas, as well as Ventoso, who also finished into the main field after getting over the hardness of the final circuit -which took some sprinters out-, will both have options in Wednesday’s stage, whose flat route will preceed the two mountain stages awaiting on Thursday and Friday. Movistar Team, which did a good work to get their top sprinters on front and protect their leader Mauricio Soler -still in 2nd place overall-, are keeping their good overall level -3rd at teams’ overall- in a top-ranked race still led by Damiano Cunego (LAM), with World Champion Thor Hushovd (GRM) winning the day’s stage.
