Movistar Team renew three riders
01 July 2011

Movistar Team have proceeded to the contract renewals of their riders Andrey Amador, Pablo Lastras and Sergio Pardilla for the next three, two and one seasons, respectively. The three riders from the telephone squad get the reward for their performances during the season, which has made them take part in the first two ever Grand Tours taken part by Movistar Team -the Giro, in the case of Lastras and Pardilla, and the Tour, starting on Saturday, for Amador, the first ever Costa Rican to depart-.

The Latin American rider, aged 24, will fulfil his third season into the squad led by Eusebio Unzué, while Sergio Pardilla (27 years old; 11 pro victories) will have another season to shown his climbing abilities into the Blue squad. Regarding Lastras, aged 35, its figures are an absolute record for the squad. At the end of his 2-year term, he will have made 16 seasons as pro, all of them into Unzué’s structure, which also saw him riding as an amateur, what increases the stay at the team to an impressive 19 years.
