Ankle sprain by Costa Rican and virus affection Spanish champ are main concens for Movistar Team as they enjoy a well-deserved rest dayMovistar Team enjoy a deserved, more than necessary, first rest day in the 2011 Tour de France at their hotel in Aurillac. After a hard stage yesterday to Saint-Flour, the seven remaining riders from the telephone squad -Kiryienka and Intxausti left the race- took profit from the day to charge their batteries before the second week of the Tour, coming after ten days where stress and tension were the main actors in a race that has already a good taste for the Blue team, with the spectacular victory by Rui Costa in Super-Besse.

The riders directed by Eusebio Unzué, except for Rojas and Amador, rolled for an hour and a half before returning into their relax at the hotel. Rojas is improving from the virus causing him real agony, the Spanish champion managing to complete the stage and expected not to suffer any side effects tomorrow as the fight for the green jersey continues tomorrow, with the Murcian having worn it four times over the podium of this year’s Grande Boucle. In turn, Andrey Amador is taking the first 24-hour complete rest for his injured left ankle -2nd-grade sprain- after his crash on stage 1. The Costa Rican is confident about the progress of his injury after this rest day to continue on the Tour, since the lack of balance in his body due to the difficulty to pedal equally is already paying off on the brave Center American rider.
