Right into the final week of the Grande Boucle, Movistar Team starts off the second part of their calendar in the summer with the 5-day Italian stagerace
With the final days of the Tour de France in the horizon, a second Movistar Team starts a new competitive run in Italy on Wednesday, as the 11th Brixia Tour is held in Northern lands. The Italian race offers a parcours with six stages in five days -including a double sector, with an evening ITT, on Thursday- and a mountain-top finish in the Passo Maniva (12k, 9%) as the predictable decision point on Saturday.
For this race, José Luis Jaimerena will be directing a Movistar Team roster composed by Spaniards Rubén Plaza, Sergio Pardilla, Fran Pérez and Enrique Sanz, Marzio Bruseghin (ITA), Carlos Oyarzun (CHI), Ignatas Konovalovas (LTU) and Branislau Samoilau (BLR). The Brixia Tour will be the first of the races making a busy calendar for the Blues in only 20 days before the start of the Vuelta a España, between the end of July and the first part of August: Ordizia, San Sebastián, Getxo, Pologne, Burgos and Eneco Tour.
