The Colombian rider from Movistar Team keeps slowly but steadily improving since he was admitted to the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra ten days ago, transferred to floor Mauricio Soler keeps taking small but important steps in his recovery after the serious accident suffered more than a month ago on stage 6 in the Tour de Suisse. The Colombian rider from Movistar Team is still at the Clínica Universitaria de Navarra, to which he was transferred twn days ago from the Hospital St. Gallen, whose Intensive Care Unit admitted him from the day of the accident. Since he was moved to Pamplona, Soler has experienced a notable improvement in his status, and the most positive news is that he left the ICU on Tuesday evening and took a room into the regular medicine floor of the center.

“His improvements are slow, but constant and positive –explains Movistar Team doctor Alfredo Zúñiga-. He already recognises the people from his environment and started talking. You can keep short conversations with him. He’s still really tired, and that’s normal due to the magnitude of the blow he suffered, but his progress is good, especially during this last week.” Soler will be still for a long period of time at the Navarran medical center, where the doctors taking care of him will follow his progress during the following weeks to keep control of his status.
