Aiming high outside the Vuelta

Movistar Team starts with alternative late-August calendar on Sunday with the Vattenfall-Cyclassics, also riding in France at Poitou-Charentes and Plouay Not only the Vuelta a España, starting on Saturday in Benidorm, will be centering all sights from Movistar Team in the late part of August. Another block from the telephone squad will start on Sunday 21st with the alternative calendar outside the Spanish grandtour, with the Vattenfall-Cyclassics (World Tour) being held in Hamburg. Beside the German classic, the squad directed by Yvon Ledanois will also line up at the Tour de Poitou-Charentes, a 5-stage French event (August 23rd-26th) including a 20k individual time trial in the penultimate day of racing. The GP Ouest-France in Plouay (World Tour, Sunday 28th) will close Movistar Team's run across Western France.

For all three races, the 8-man roster by the telephone squad will be identical, composed by Fran Ventoso, José Joaquín Rojas, Rui Costa, Iván Gutiérrez, Rubén Plaza, Luis Pasamontes, Jesús Herrada and Enrique Sanz.
