Tour of the Med - st. 2

The Movistar Team sprinter repeats his best place in the 2012 season in France and will fight again tomorrow for the victory in the stage preceeding the decisive Mont Faron

Just like in his first two sprints of the year at the Tour de San Luis on Argentinian soil, Fran Ventoso took again the 4th spot into the bunch sprint -seeing another rider, Dutchman Michel Kreder (GRM), getting clear until the finish- deciding the 2nd stage in the 29th Tour Méditerranéen, with cold and strong winds making a hard it a hard 136k way from Salon de Provence to Martigues.

The Movistar Team fastman had to tackle another difficult finish today, with many roundabouts elongating the bunch -again with all Blue riders inside- and favouring the solo attempt by Kreder, followed by Boivin (SPI) and Hutarovich (FDJ), the new race leader. Ventoso will still have another shot tomorrow in the predictable sprint finish on stage 3, over 127 kilometers from La Seyne-sur-Mer to La Londe les Maures preceeding the final, decisive day over the Mont Faron on Sunday.
