Telephone squad makes their first outing on Lusitan turf from Wednesday into the Volta ao Algarve, featuring a mountain-top finish and a final ITT

The Movistar Team jersey will shine for the very first time on Portuguese soil from Wednesday 15 with a group led by José Luis Jaimerena taking the start in the 38th edition of the Volta ao Algarve. The telephone squad will line up in the Portuguese stagerace with the biggest local star, Rui Costa, accompanied by David Arroyo, Marzio Bruseghin, Rubén Plaza, Sergio Pardilla, Jonathan Castroviejo, Branislau Samoilau and José Herrada.

The race will be held into five stages: the two opening ones and the fourth ride on Saturday, with no major complications, and the Queen stage on top of the Alto do Malhão (2k, 8%) and the individual time trial on Sunday in Portimao (26km) as the decisive points in the Volta.
