Vuelta a Asturias

The recent winner of the overall at Vuelta a Castilla y León will attempt to repeat his success in the Spanish stagerace from last year, with three different routes leading to the decisive mountain route to the Naranco on Sunday

Movistar Team will wear the bib number 1 during the 56th edition of the Vuelta a Asturias starting in Oviedo on Friday, as the winner from last year, Javi Moreno, leads the telephone squad in the Spanish three-day, four-stage event, including a double sector on Saturday with a 14-km individual time trial in Piedras Blancas in the evening plus the Subida al Naranco on Sunday, closing the race in previous editions.

Moreno, coming to Asturias after his overall victory in Castilla y León and the crash that ruined his chances to shine in the Vuelta a la Rioja last sunday, will be joined by Beñat Intxausti, David López, Marzio Bruseghin, Iván Gutiérrez, Enrique Sanz, Ignatas Konovalovas and Jesús Herrada, all of the team directed by José Luis Jaimerena.
