Tour de Suisse (st. 6)

After four days of hard work by his team-mates, Rui Costa reaches the crucial ITT on Friday and the two final mountain stages in the Tour de Suisse as the race leader

A 34-kilometer individual time trial in Gossau on Friday, plus two mountain stages in the weekend -the HC top of Arosa in a short stage on Saturday and a monster 215k trek with four categorized climbs en route to Sörenberg on Sunday- will decide the 76th edition of the Tour de Suisse. After four tough days for all Movistar Team riders, Rui Costa will arrive on time to the start ramp after fitting into the yellow jersey following the sixth stage, held on Thursday between Wittnau and Bischofszell over another almost 200-kilometer load on the saddle. This time, the teams with sprinters took the turn from the telephone squad’s hands and reeled the break of the day back with less than 5k from the finish, where another sprint finish was won by Slovak Peter Sagan (LIQ).
