Movistar Team continue their calendar in Biscay on Tuesday before taking part in the Castilian stagerace from Wednesday

The Circuito de Getxo and the Vuelta a Burgos will center Movistar Team’s effort through this week as they look up to increase their outstanding 23-victory account of the 2012 season on Spanish turf. José Luis Jaimerena will direct a ten-man squad in Biscay on Tuesday, formed by José and Jesús Herrada, Pablo Lastras, David López, Ángel Madrazo, Javi Moreno, Enrique Sanz, Giovanni Visconti, Imanol Erviti –back into competition after crashing out of the Tour de France- y José Joaquín Rojas, just after his participation in the London Olympics. The Basque race will repeat last year’s parcours -10 laps over a semiurban, 17km course- finishing at the slopes of Txomintxu (up to 10% gradient).

A day later, the telephone squad will start their participation in the 34th Vuelta a Burgos, the HC Europe Tour race in Spain repeating the stage scheme from 2011 with no ITT’s and summit finished in all of its five days, especially on Sunday with the traditional Lagunas de Neila. Movistar Team will bring eight riders into contention for Burgos: David Arroyo, Marzio Bruseghin, David López, Ángel Madrazo, Javi Moreno, Sergio Pardilla, Rubén Plaza and Giovanni Visconti, directed by José Luis Arrieta.
