Heading into the Trittico Lombardo

Movistar Team participates in three of the most prestigious Italian semiclassics from Thursdya to Saturday: the Coppa Bernocchi, the Coppa Agostoni and the Tre Valli Varesine

In the eve of the start of the Vuelta a España, a Movistar Team expedition led by DS Yvon Ledanois departs on Wednesday for northern Italy to take part in the Trittico Lombardo, a popular series of three consecutive races: the Coppa Bernocchi (Thursday 16), over 200 kilometers around Legnano with six climbs over Morazzone; the Coppa Agostoni (Friday 17), 196km between Monza and Lissone with the ascents towards Madonna del Ghisallo, Colle Brianza and Sirtori; and the Tre Valli Varesine (Saturday 18), an Hors Categorie Europe Tour event with 198km and three tough circuits around the finish in Luino.

For these three races, the telephone squad will line up with their two Italian riders: Giovanni Visconti, winner of the 2009 Coppa Bernocchi and 3rd place finisher at last year’s Coppa Bernocchi, and Marzio Bruseghin. Along them will be brothers José and Jesús Herrada, David López, Ángel Madrazo, Enrique Sanz and Branislau Samoilau.
