Movistar Team brings another powerful squad to the double WorldTour date in Québec (Friday) and Montréal (Sunday), where Rui Costa will defend his 2011 title

Movistar Team heads this Tuesday into the Canadian province of Québec along with the entire UCI WorldTour caravan to participate in two of the final events for cycling’s top tier in the 2012 season. The telephone squad will be on Friday at the GP Québec, over 201km and 16 laps of a circuit including the climbs of the Montagne, La Potasse and the uphill finish in the Grande Allée, and will move a day later to race on Sunday at the GP Montréal, over 17 laps and a total 205 kilometers in a demanding route over the ascents of Camilien-Houde and the Polytechnique.

For these two races in Canada, Yvon Ledanois will direct an eight-man group most notably featuring Rui Costa, winner in Montréal last season and set to defend his title together with Giovanni Visconti, Sergio Pardilla, Jesús Herrada, Iván Gutiérrez, Enrique Sanz, Rubén Plaza and Fran Ventoso. Sanz will be the main in charge of opening fire for the Blues at the Challenge Sprint Pro (Thursday, 22.00 CET), an elimination event in groups of four where he was runner-up in 2011.
