Movistar Team travel to Asia this Wednesday to take part in the 2012 World Tour's last event, wearing an exclusive jersey with China Unicom and its brand Wo

In search for the 50th victory of the World Tour telephone squad with their current sponsor, which could be anticipated in one of the three Italian races -Coppa Sabatini, Giro dell’Emilia, GP Beghelli- to be held from Thursday, Movistar Team departs this evening for the Chinese capital to complete their participation in the 2012 World Tour at the 2nd Tour of Beijing, over five stages from October, Tuesday 9 to Saturday 13.

A day favourable for sprinters -the opening one at Beijing’s Olympic Park-, three stages with plenty of small, soft climbs and a mountain-top finish (Thursday 11) next to the Big Wall in Badaling, the venue of the road race in the 2008 Games, make the scene for a Blue squad unveiling a special outfit that includes China Unicom, Telefónica’s partner in the country, and its brand Wo. Portuguese Rui Costa, Lithuanian Ignatas Konovalovas and Spaniards Juanjo CoboPablo Lastras, Jesús Herrada, Javier Iriarte, Enrique Sanz and Iván Gutiérrez will be Movistar Team’s eight riders in Asia.
