Movistar Team holds training camp in Mojácar
08 January 2013

Preparations

The squad will travel to the coast of Almería after their official presentation on Friday to finetune their performance before the season debut

Just over ten days before their first outing of the 2013 season, and after their official presentation in Madrid on Friday, Movistar Team fills its schedule with a trip to Mojácar (Almería) for a 7-day training camp. The stay, which replaces the gathering the telephone squad was holding in early February for the last years, will have the Hotel Marina Playa in the Andalusian town as its headquarters.

From January 11 to 18, Movistar Team will take advantage from the route, sporting facilities and, most notably, the mild weather in the Almería coast to improve their fitness before their first competitions of the year. The training camp will also give the renewed Movistar Team board of coaches an opportunity to keep on the work started in November with the 25 riders directed by Eusebio Unzué. Only seven of them, the ones taking part in the Tour Down Under, will be missing as they travel to South Australia just after the official presentation. The six men selected for the Tour de San Luis will actually be present before heading to Argentina on Thursday 17, a day before the camp concludes for their team-mates.
