Incident

Young Movistar Team rider unharmed after having bike stolen on Wednesday while training near his home city Medellín

A big fright is the only damage suffered by Argiro Ospina after suffering a disgraced accident on Wednesday, during one of his final training riders before departing to Europe to join the rest of the Movistar Team. The young Colombian cyclist had his bike stolen while riding through the Alto de la Sierra road in Rionegro, in the Antioquia department: “I was training there when I stopped by for a call of nature. I was then approached by a guy that menaced me, stole my bike and went apart. I couldn’t do anything to avoid it. He was following me and was accompanied by another guy on a motorbike.”

I feel really sad and, above all, really furious,” explains Ospina. “The important thing is that I count on the support by all people that approached me in the last few hours to support me and help me to find my bike back. I hope to bounce back from this incident soon and get back on the bike to give everything for my team.”
